Assessment Process
Intake
The assessment process begins with a virtual intake session (approximately 1.5 hours) where I will learn more about the reason you are interested in testing. Questions will focus on academic, developmental, medical, behavioral, and social history in order to help me better interpret the results and provide helpful and tailored recommendations.
Testing
Testing will take place in a private location of your choosing (in the Greater Los Angeles area). One can be provided if needed. Testing can take approximately 2 - 6 hours depending on the type of tests selected (i.e., achievement and/or cognitive). The assessor can wear masks throughout the testing and follow necessary social distancing precautions if preferred. All testing materials will be cleaned and disinfected. Breaks will be provided as needed.
Feedback and Report
Following the testing session, I will score the tests, interpret the results, and write a report. The report will include background information about your child, a description of the testing process, the test results (including scores), and recommendations. Standardized scores provide information about grade-level and allow for comparisons with peers. Recommendations will be tailored and client-specific with next steps to follow. A copy of the report will be mailed and/or emailed for your convenience. The assessment process will end with a virtual feedback session (approximately 1 hour) where I will explain the results and recommendations and answer any additional questions.
