Nicole E. Mahrer, Ph.D.

PSY #28687 (Nicole Mahrer Malotte)

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in child psychology and assessment. I received my Ph.D. from Arizona State University (ASU) and trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have 10 years of assessment experience and have conducted and supervised numerous assessments which have tested for specific learning disabilities, ADHD, secondary effects to radiation treatment, and qualification for testing accommodations (e.g., SAT, ACT, LSAT). I am also bilingual and am able to conduct assessments in English and Spanish.

I am currently an associate professor of psychology at the University of La Verne where I teach Cognitive and Intellectual Assessment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Supervision Skills to doctoral-level students (https://laverne.edu/directory/person/nicole-e-mahrer/). I am also Director of the Institute of Mental Health and Psychological Wellbeing at the University of La Verne. In addition to training the future generation of psychologists, it is very important to me that I continue to directly serve the community through my clinical services. This COVID-19 pandemic left parents (including myself) struggling with how to best support our children. I hope my assessment services (offered at lower prices than are typical in this area) can provide children, adults, and families with the information they need to best support success in these trying times.
